Marshmallow Santa Claus
At Yrgo, each student in my class got to photoscan several objects of our choosing to create 3D objects and this is the first object I chose to scan. To create this candy Santa Claus in 3D, I placed it on a spinning disk and took pictures from the same location while spinning the disk to get every angle of it. I also photographed the top and bottom of the candy as well. The photos were then used in a photoscanning software, Agisoft PhotoScan, to generate a 3D-object with a base color texture. Some fiddling were done to the textures in Adobe Photoshop, but no other texture map than base colour was required for this 3D model.
